Questions

    What people ask about Alchemiq

Direct answers on what Alchemiq does, how it finds stories, where its sources come from, and how teams start using it.

    The basics

    What is Alchemiq?

Alchemiq is the intelligence layer for content. It analyzes real-time signals from thousands of sources worldwide and identifies the stories, topics and opportunities most likely to matter to a specific audience, then recommends what to publish next.

How is Alchemiq different from Google Trends, media monitoring, or a news wire?

Alchemiq does not wait for you to know what to look for. Search responds to questions people already know to ask and monitoring tracks topics teams have already chosen. Alchemiq discovers emerging opportunities early and ranks them by likely value to your audience.

    Who uses Alchemiq?

Publishers, content and communications teams, newsletters, and AI-native products. Publishers use it to find high-performing stories. Content teams use it to turn emerging developments into timely, authoritative content. Products and AI agents reach the same intelligence through MCP and the API.

Does Alchemiq replace journalists and editors?

No. Alchemiq decides what is worth attention, not what gets published. Every recommendation links back to the original publisher articles so an editor can judge it, and final publication decisions, including accuracy verification and editorial judgement, stay with the newsroom.

    How it works

How does Alchemiq find stories before they trend?

It continuously indexes articles from thousands of publishers worldwide and clusters them into stories, so a developing topic is visible from the pattern of early coverage rather than from search volume. Search volume only rises once a story is already obvious.

Where does Alchemiq's content come from, and how is it attributed?

From published articles across thousands of global publishers. Every story Alchemiq surfaces links back to the original publisher articles with direct URLs, so the provenance of a recommendation is always inspectable and the original source keeps its credit.

How does Alchemiq handle accuracy and factual errors?

Through source attribution and human oversight rather than a guarantee. Every story links to the articles it was built from, and the platform incorporates fact-checking mechanisms and editorial review. Publishers remain responsible for their own editorial standards before anything goes live.

    Which languages does Alchemiq support?

Alchemiq indexes articles in multiple languages and can filter results by language or translate briefs into English, German, Hebrew, French, Spanish, Arabic and Dutch. This is what lets a desk cover stories breaking in a language nobody on the team reads.

    Getting started

How long does it take to start using Alchemiq?

You can start immediately. The standalone platform needs no implementation work, so a desk can be using it the same day. CMS integration and MCP or API access are added later, once the editorial value is already proven.

Does Alchemiq integrate with our CMS?

Yes. Alchemiq connects directly to an existing publishing or content workflow, but integration is optional and sequenced after you have started. The three access routes are the standalone platform, a CMS integration, and MCP or API access for assistants, agents and other products.

Can we use Alchemiq inside ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini?

Yes, through Alchemiq Desk MCP. It connects ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, the Gemini CLI and any other Model Context Protocol client to the same intelligence engine, so a team can ask for emerging coverage in the AI tool it already uses.

    What is Alchemiq Desk MCP?

A Model Context Protocol server that gives AI assistants real-time access to the Alchemiq intelligence engine. It exposes five tools for searching the news index, inspecting source coverage, generating briefs and translating content, each returning structured output with links to full coverage.

    What does Alchemiq cost?

There is no public price list, because the commercial model is matched to how you use the platform. Alchemiq is offered as enterprise SaaS, as a managed service, on a revenue-share basis, and with usage-based access. Request a demo and the terms are agreed from there.

    Results and company

What results have publishers seen with Alchemiq?

Sections publishing Alchemiq content saw an average 83% increase in pageviews, and one reference client saw a 23% increase in organic search across its entire website and a tenfold increase in pageviews attributed to Alchemiq content over ten months.

    Who founded Alchemiq?

Three co-founders. Orr Hirschauge, co-founder and CEO, is a media executive and journalist formerly at The Wall Street Journal and the Haaretz Group.
